WOCKids Director

Full-Time

The WOCKids Director provides leadership, direction, and oversight for all aspects of our children’s ministry. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming and engaging environment where children can grow in their faith, parents feel supported, and volunteers are empowered to serve with excellence.

You will lead WOCKids CORE Teams, manage ministry operations, and align everything with the vision and direction of World Outreach Church. This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a heart for children and families.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead WOCKids CORE Teams for Sunday and Wednesday services, conferences, and events.

  • Recruit, train, and support high-quality leaders and volunteers.

  • Lead department meetings and provide regular communication with parents and team members.

  • Empower volunteers to thrive in their roles and grow in their gifts.

Program Oversight

  • Oversee all WOCKids programming during Sunday and Wednesday services.

  • Develop curriculum aligned with the teachings and vision of World Outreach Church.

  • Lead children’s ministry efforts during special events, including:

    • Easter Sunday activities

    • Summer Camp

    • Prayer Conference

    • Fire for the Nations Conference

    • Fall Carnival

Operations and Administration

  • Manage the department budget, purchasing, and forecasting.

  • Develop and implement policies, safety procedures, and facility standards.

  • Track ministry growth and plan for future needs.

  • Work closely with other ministry leaders to assess and adjust programming.

  • Ensure child protection compliance with Oklahoma state law.

  • Maintain strong communication with the Executive Team and serve as liaison for the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–5 years of experience in children’s ministry, with leadership experience preferred.

  • Strong communication skills — both written and verbal.

  • Solid theological foundation and creativity in kids’ curriculum development.

  • Experience recruiting and managing volunteers.

  • Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Familiar with PC/Mac systems, Microsoft Office, Basecamp, and Planning Center, or able to learn.

  • Must pass a background check and be able to handle confidential information.

  • Must become a member of World Outreach Church and follow the leadership of Pastors and Lead Staff.

  • Able to lift up to 15 pounds and assist with room setup as needed.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive personal or church vehicles.
