FEAR-FREE LIVING IN DANGEROUS TIMES

Terrorist attack. Jihad. Chemical warfare. Economic recession. Civil unrest. Natural disasters. International war. Today, as never before, we are challenged by dangers that threaten the global community. But even in these uncertain times, we can be certain that all is well. Why? Because God is for us!

God wants us to know that we do not have to be terrified or anxious. We can walk almost oblivious to what’s going on around us. We can walk in peace and victory, living faith-filled and fear-free. None of us are going to be free from problems— we’re all going to run into a few along the way. But God has a solution prepared before the problem ever shows up.

In the worlds system, people purchase insurance coverage to aid them in times of trouble. Those policies are good and necessary— but they don’t pay off until an emergency or disaster strikes. God, on the other hand, has an insurance policy that not only pays off before trouble strikes, but also keeps us out of disaster and gets us out of trouble— if we will simply follow the terms and conditions. The benefits of that policy are outlined in Psalm 91.

I encourage you to look at Psalm 91 and read the full extent of protection God has made available. No matter what’s going on around you, you can be at peace and live fear-free even in dangerous times. And if you are already in the middle of a difficult situation, you need to know that God loves you and he will be with you in trouble— not just to hold your hand, but to stretch out His mighty hand on your behalf and deliver you.
